I love my morning yoga routine. I do it for the same reason, getting my back ready for another day.

I like your idea of starting the night before to prep your morning. That’s how I do it. I unroll my yoga mat before I go to bed. I prep my teapot and set out a cup. I put my journal and a pen out.

If I eliminate as many obstacles as possible, I’ve got less excuses to be lazy. All I need to do is get up and stumble into my carefully laid plans.

You are doing it right - I like your wording.. “eliminate as many obstacles as possible”. It makes all the difference.

If someone had told me there would be a time when I'd cherish morning routines, I would have suggested they see a doctor. Fast-forward to now, and it’s become the most essential part of my day. A cup of coffee, my journal, and a walk to end it perfectly!

Isn’t it truly a magical time of day… I can’t get enough of it. I try to get up early (not 5AM) on weekends too to enjoy it then too. Thanks for commenting :-).

Lately my morning routine is enjoying a cup of tea while reading my Substack subscriptions. In the ‘day’ I wouls go to the door and grabbing the local newspaper that was delivered to read through for 15 minutes. I am that old and in todays world there is nothing in the newspaper worth reading anymore.

I remember the newspaper too Danni! The news is NOT my favorite place or way to start the day. I do curate my own news feed on Google News, which is mostly wellness stuff.

That’s a good idea

Mornings are the best! Mine usually start out with meditation before I even turn on a screen.

Same! I started doing that a few months back and it’s been amazing.

Best when the mind isn’t in a frenzy haha but I try to stick to it regardless.
