✨ The ultimate power list that boosts your confidence and helps you get anything you want
And then, the BADASS LIST was born
Jen Gottlieb found her way into my world a few months ago on Amy Porterfield’s podcast.
Amy Porterfield is a marketer turned digital course creator. She has a program to teach you how to create a digital course and one to grow your email list: Digital Course Academy and List Builders Society. This badass lady used to work for Tony Robbins.
She is truly a marketing/course creator genius! You can follow her podcast here: Online Marketing Made Easy Podcast
Anyway, back to the badass article… 💪
One day on my morning trail run, I listened to a podcast where Amy interviewed this dynamic woman, Jen Gottlieb.
I was sold after Jen said just a few words…
Her confidence and real stories about her life and business pulled me in even deeper.
She specializes in social media strategy, content creation, and communication. She has worked with various clients, including celebrities, influencers, and small businesses. Her work has been featured in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and many more publications. She used to be a host on VH1. You might already know her!
Jen shared some amazing ideas on how to ‘be seen’ in the crazy world of online content. I kept stopping to take all kinds of notes — it was crazy good!
Here is the link to the interview on YouTube if you want to listen in yourself.
An hour later, I bought her book “Be Seen”.
I am a wellness business trying to do just that: be seen by an audience of women who struggle with being too busy to figure out where to start on their wellness journey.
Jen is real — she doesn’t hold back. She tells it like it is, shares relatable stories and makes you feel like she’s your biggest cheerleader.
There was one thing in particular that Jen talked about that lit me up ⬇️
The badass list 💪
The badass list is meant to help kill imposter syndrome and cultivate more confidence.
It’s basically a personal document that highlights your strengths, talents, accomplishments, and challenges that you’ve overcome. It is a place to document your best and most impressive achievements (big or small).
It just needs to be you thinking about your badassery and documenting it to help banish self-doubt.
How to create your own badass list
Grab a pen and notebook
Then make a list of accomplishments, (big and small), that makes you proud. Examples can be things like running a marathon, public speaking, helping others in any way, taking on a new challenge or opportunity, a new job, eating healthier, etc. Anything goes here!
Write these things in ‘story-telling’ style, narrate the events/accomplishments as if telling someone else’s impressive story (this part is important)
Read the list out loud with expression 😉, immersing yourself in the retelling (this part is just plain fun!)
Let this list remind you of your past challenges that you’ve overcome and awaken belief in what you are capable of
Refer to the ‘badass list’ whenever you need a confidence boost, to overcome self-doubt or when you want to pursue a new goal
The ‘badass list’ can help you connect with the inner strength and self-confidence needed to go after your passions and shut down that critical inner voice known as imposter syndrome.
I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all met imposter syndrome at some point in our lives, and we likely will meet it again.
Make a fresh ‘badass list’ anytime you want. You can do it daily. You can post it on the wall — better yet, frame it!
The list becomes proof of just how amazing you are!
What’s on your badass list?

I’ve been putting this off. I read the article when you put it out and subconsciously shunted it aside. But now that I’m taking two weeks off from the office job (so excited about that!) I’m going to sit down and make that list. Thanks for the prompting to reread it in your roundup article.
I write myself lists on the daily for all things. Mostly so I won’t forget but it also keeps me accountable. Now I will call it my badass list 🤩🤩
